Bonnie Kohout
King Bruwaert House Retirement Community
BONNIE R. KOHOUT, Director of Marketing King-Bruwaert House, Burr Ridge Bonnie R. Kohout has been a dedicated Chamber board member since 2003 and a member since 1991. She consistently offers support of the local business community and all Chamber activities. She serves as board Vice President and Chairman of the Chamber’s Publicity Committee. She also serves as the Chamber’s liaison to the Village of Burr Ridge, reporting all the latest news in the community. In addition, she serves on the Administrative Professionals Luncheon Committee. Bonnie writes the monthly “In the News” column for our Chamber newsletter and handles publicity for all Chamber-sponsored activities. She is also an active member of the Aging Well Committee that hosts quarterly educational forums for local seniors at The Community House in Hinsdale.
As the Director of Marketing for King-Bruwaert House, Bonnie directs all the marketing, advertising, community and promotional and special event programs for the continuous care retirement community located at 6101 S. County Line Road, Burr Ridge. King-Bruwaert House celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2008, continuing a long and historic mission of providing exceptional levels of care to senior adults. Recognized for its exquisite architecture and beautiful grounds, King-Bruwaert House is situated on 35 wooded acres featuring gardens, trees, ponds, an expansive walking path, fishing ponds and putting greens. Plans in 2008 call for the renovation of an on-site theatre for residents to enjoy cultural and entertainment programs. K-B continues to attract senior residents who appreciate elegant surroundings, superb dining and extraordinary care in a resort-like setting.
Bonnie brings an extensive public relations and communications background to our Chamber. She holds a degree in Journalism and Broadcast Communications from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. She attended classes at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and has a Marketing Certification from Life Services Network. Bonnie and her husband, Al, have three children: Tamara, a fourth/fifth grade school teacher; Courtney, a second-year law student attending Pepperdine University in California; and Brian, a junior majoring in sports marketing at the University of Dayton in Ohio. Al owns and manages American Video Services/Sound Memories Video in downtown Westmont.
