Jane Hopson has been a board director since September 2002 and is currently chairperson of the Membership Committee. She has been an active Chamber member representing the hotel since 1989. 

As the Director of Marketing for The Oaks Hotel & Conference Center, Jane is responsible for sales and marketing for the hotel located at 300 S. Frontage Road, Burr Ridge.The hotel, affiliated with WORLDHOTELS, is a full service property with 122 guest rooms. Among the features the hotel provides guests and area residents is Terra Restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and Mr. B’s, a sports bar, which also serves a full menu. Amenities include an indoor pool, fitness room, guest laundry, valet service, premium cable with HBO, DVD player in all guest rooms, complimentary movie/DVD’s, and complimentary shuttle service to local corporations and Midway Airport…plus a very friendly staff. The Oaks has been host to many weddings, social events and corporate meetings in the two banquet rooms; the Garden Room that accommodates 275 guests and the Oak Ridge Room accommodating 175 guests.

Jane is an active member of the DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau. Community involvement includes the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Hinsdale Chapter; U.S. Daughters of the War of 1812, Maryland Chapter; a board member of the American Association of University Women, Hinsdale Chapter; Village Community Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago, Hinsdale Chapter; Hinsdale Historical Society and a board member of the Garden Study Club of Hinsdale. She has been given national recognition receiving the Outstanding Young Women of America Award; Community Leaders and Noteworthy Americans Award and the Alumnae Leadership Award from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, PA, where she graduated with a degree in psychology. She is a commissioned Kentucky Colonel presented by a former Kentucky governor. Prior to her career in the hotel industry, Jane worked with local and national healthcare companies in sales and marketing.

Jane has lived in Burr Ridge for over twenty years and in the area for twenty five years.
