Rita Farrell

Rita joined the Chamber in 2005 and currently serves as Vice-President of the Chamber. She also chairs the Scholarship and the Map Committees, and is a member of the By-Laws and Membership Committee.
Rita attended the University if Illinois as an undergraduate and Loyola University School of Law in Chicago. She has been an attorney for over 27 years practicing in the areas of civil litigation, business law, real estate, personal injury, and municipal law in Illinois and California.
Rita concentrates her practice in the areas of business law and real estate. She has a solo practice and represents all types of small businesses in a variety of matters starting with formation of the business and continuing as counsel for contract review, lease negotiation, employment issues, collection cases and the sale or purchase of a business. Additionally, she represents sellers and buyers in residential and commercial real estate transactions. She is committed to providing quality legal services to her clients promptly and efficiently at reasonable rates.
In addition to her involvement with the Chamber, Rita is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and she srves as Vice Chairman of the Parish Pastoral Council of St. Cletus Parish in LaGrange.
Rita resides in Indian Head Park with her husband, Joe Mayer, and their two children, Lauren, a freshman at the University of Illinois, and Mike, an eighth grader at Highlands Middle School.
