Dr Glen Batson
Batson Chiropractic
Dr. Batson has been a member of the Willowbrook/Burr Ridge Chamber of Commerce for several years, and was appointed to the Board of Directors as of January 2007. Dr. Batson participates in many of the chamber programs such as: The Fit and Fun Fair, The Health and Wellness Committee, Home for the Holidays and the Giving Tree Program, the Business to Business Committee, and has hosted chamber after hours. Dr. Batson has been in private practice since 1988, and is now located in the Willowbrook Office Complex in Willowbrook, IL. Dr. Batson provides conservative chiropractic health care to residents throughout the Chicago land region and surrounding states.
Dr. Batson is a 1988 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and is certified in video fluoroscopic spinal motion x-ray imaging, x-ray imaging, chiropractic manipulative procedures, and spinal rehabilitation techniques. Dr. Batson has developed, instructed, and co-sponsored seminars on chiropractic techniques and x-ray procedures through Palmer College of Chiropractic on the Post Graduate Level.
As a young man, Dr. Batson sustained spinal injuries, suffering with severe low back pain for many years. Through very specific chiropractic procedures Dr. Batson's complications are now resolved and he is now utilizing those same procedures to treat patients for similar as well as a wide variety of health conditions. Dr. Batson understands, first hand, the pain and personal ramifications associated with the spinal injuries and associated health conditions.
Dr. Batson utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and chiropractic procedures such as: video fluoroscopic spinal motion x-ray imaging (motion X-ray imaging), plain film x-ray imaging, infrared instrumentation, and physical examination for proper diagnosis and analysis for specific personal recommendations of treatment and rehabilitation for neuro-musculoskeletal complications, spinal injuries, or other health complications. Dr. Batson performs specific manual adjusting techniques and utilizes electronic adjusting instrumentation and soft tissue therapies for the correction of a subluxation (a joint misalignment) which may be causing dysfunction and symtomatology. Dr. Batson does not perform jerking or twisting adjustment procedures. Dr. Batson utilizes the LORDEX LUMBAR DECOMPRESSION system which is state-of-the-art therapeutic equipment utilized for lower back and leg pain associated with: disc bulging, disc herniations, spinal stenosis, facet syndromes and sciatica. Lumbar decompression and strength restoration procedures are gentle, relaxing, and effective for restoration of strength and function to the ligaments, disc, and soft tissue of the lower back region.
Chiropractic care is natural health care which may be effective for people of all ages: children, adolescents, adults and seniors alike. Dr. Batson is available for consultation to discuss specific health care needs with the general public and other health care physicians. Dr Batson lectures and consults with many organizations, municipalities, and businesses for the education of workplace ergonomics and spinal care, with the emphasis on preventative health care.
